

Meet Your Instructor
Jonathan Guice is the Owner/Operator and Chief Firearms Instructor of Safeguard Firearms Training School. He has been in the security profession since 1997 and currently has over a decade of government service. He holds a NRA Firearms Certification as well as a NRA Instructor’s License and Texas CHL/LTC Instructors Certificate. In addition, he is a state licensed School Safety Officer Instructor. He has taught numerous firearms courses in his career, including basic, intermediate, and advanced handgun. During his military career he trained soldiers as an OPFOR tactical instructor and qualified as an expert marksman.
At Safeguard, we pride ourselves in providing exceptional training, and quality is our top priority. The Safeguard staff promotes gun safety at home and in the field. Jonathan Guice’s decades of experience, training, and a passion for firearms has prepared him to effectively instruct Soldiers, School Service Officers and Civilians in the use and proficiency of firearms in tactical scenarios, as well as how to react to active shooters.
Safeguard LTC Training
Safe Guard is a premier License to Carry company, that prides itself in quality training and dependable service. Our Instructors are certified under Texas GC 411.188 and GC 411.190 to administer the LTC Online Course (classroom instruction only).

This official training program is developed to meet the standards for online license to carry education in Texas. The course encompasses easy-to-understand handgun safety instructions and self-defense information including the following four statutory required topics:

Laws that relate to weapons and the use of deadly force

Handgun use and safety, including use of restraint holsters and methods to ensure the secure carrying of openly carried handguns

Non-violent dispute resolution

Proper storage practices for handguns with an emphasis on storage practices that eliminate the possibility of accidental injury to a child

Upon completion of this online course, you will receive your LTC-101 form to submit to the State of Texas to receive your TEXAS LICENSE TO CARRY PERMIT.

Whether you're an experienced shooter or a first-time handgun owner, this license to carry course will prepare you to carry a handgun safely and responsibly.
